Die Draad Familie Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Die Draad Familie Restaurant is like taking a breath outside the city’s rush—an inviting space where the hum of conversation blends seamlessly with occasional live music, setting a relaxed, unhurried tone. Whether it’s the warmth of a family gathering or the easy-going vibe of friends sharing a quiet evening, the atmosphere encourages you to settle in and savor the moment.
The restaurant wears many hats gracefully: part casual local eatery, part lively bar, and a welcoming spot especially attuned to families. Children’s laughter drifts playfully from a thoughtfully designed play area visible from where you sit, offering parents peace of mind while still feeling connected. This genuine care for togetherness shapes much of the experience here.
Food unfolds here as a personal journey rather than just a meal—whether it’s building your own pizza, enjoying generous ribs paired with creamy mashed potatoes, or lingering over something classic like a perfectly cooked steak. Drinks find their place in the rhythm too, with options from craft beers to refreshing slushies that complement the laid-back pace and occasional bursts of live entertainment.
Conversations flow easily amid attentive, friendly service that adds to the feeling that you’re more than a guest—you’re part of a community evening out. The menu remains focused and approachable, inviting exploration without overwhelming, while allowing the quality and warmth of the setting to shine through.
For those seeking a spot where everyday moments stretch lazily into evenings filled with simple pleasures, Die Draad Familie Restaurant quietly delivers—a place that feels like it’s been waiting just for you to show up.

I have dined here before and it is always a pleasure to return and try something different on the menu. Waiters responds within a reasonable time and are very friendly. Menu is minimalistic but I will recommend the eisbein special and the steak, egg and chips. Will definitely comeback for more.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, and it feels like you are outside of the city. The food is great and they have live entertainment occasionally.

Great family place, awesome vibe and atmosphere. Amazing play area for children, visible for parents to watch children while they sit and enjoy them self's. Craft beer served here and a large variety of meals to choose from, you can also build your own pizza here.
